Disorientation

Now that I've finished my neurology rotation, every time strange things happen inside my head, I keep thinking I'm having some sort of stroke.

For example, this morning, I woke up not knowing my right from my left (differential diagnosis includes Gerstmann's syndrome, which occurs with left parietal lobe strokesâ€â€specifically in the angular gyrus.) Though if I think about it more, it was more like I felt I was turned 90 degrees.

I have an ineffable sadness welling up inside me.

Ah me. Didn't I tell you that I wasn't going to do anything? And yet why is it that I am always surprised by the results of my actions (or in this case, inaction)?
