Why now, I have no idea. I watched "Fight Club" in the summer,
and I think it may have changed my life. Or ruined it. Still
haven't decided really. Anyway, I felt compelled to look for a
particular quote, and I stumbled upon this site: Fight Club
quotes. There's also the IMDb repository of Fight Club
quotes Neither of these sites have the quote I was looking for
("Where you are now, you can't even imagine what the bottom looks
like") That required me to play the last track on the soundtrack by
the Dust Brothers. Very inspiring.
I'm sure you're as sick of the U.S. Presidential Election as I
am, but I won't doubt if this thing drags on until at least
December 18, when the electors actually vote. Anyway, it seems
everyone is sounding off their opinion. And nothing is as
interesting as what people from other countries have to say. In
today's L.A. Times, I found an
article with an interesting and slightly disturbing quote from a
Japanese political scientist: "With these irregularities,
Florida is starting to look like the Philippines." I wonder what
the more sensitive and acrimoniously nationalistic Filipinos have
to say about that.
Finally, I finished laying out a few of my poems in the unrequited section. Still
tweaking it a little, of course, but I finally tested out Apache's
XSL processor Xalan.
Kind of a complicated way to do templates, but it works, and it's
free!
