Always Have a Plan (Simple Pleasures)

Sat Jun 07 2003 10:53AM -0600

Really, I should've known this a long time ago, but I guess better late than never: I really have to stop relying on other people and waiting around for them to figure out what to do in order to have a good time. (Wow, that was a lot of compound phrases.)

I am suddenly reminded of a quote from "The Princess Bride": "I am waiting for you, Vizzini. You told me to go back to the beginning. So I have. This is where I am, and this is where I will stay. I will not be moved."  Iñigo Montoya

So, back to the beginning indeed. Time to regain my bearings.

ADDENDUM: 08:01pm CDT

Various sundry adventures have occurred, and I find that the best thing to do right now is not to think about it quite yet. Right now it's time to make plans, to not be afraid, and to enjoy every waking moment.

(But, damn it, things just change so fast.)
