Disarray

Tue, Apr 03, 2001 11:56PM -0600

Never, huh? I will just never get my life into order. I think I may very well be afraid of order. Rooms get colder when you clean them up--haven't you ever noticed?

Well, I've been mucking with this HTML dramarama for hours on end now, and, colorblind bastard that I am, I'm afraid that I'm just making a mess of things which I can't easily revert. I was never good at making backup plans. It's always been all-or-nothing for me.

I thought I'd just leave a little note to myself, even though this particular entry will be mostly in limbo, with little hope of being posted within the next 24 hours.

It's sick how happy and excited this coding morass gets me. When the temperature consistently stays above 50° F I promise I will go outside. But now I am just raving, so I will call it quits.

Postscript: I found myself laughing insanely as I watched The Simpsons today. I don't know why they do this, but on weekdays, the FOX affiliate here in Chicagoland plays The Simpsons three times a day, so since I try not to watch more than an hour and a half of TV a day, this is essentially all I watch. Let me tell you, the world starts looking really different after a while.

In any case, the reason why I was laughing insanely (other than the fact that I am probably insane) is because they did a little allusion to "The Godfather" --the horsehead scene (please tell me you've watched it--hell, I knew about this scene even before I watched it, though...) It was the episode where Homer got Lisa a pony in a ploy to win back her love, and where Homer ends up working for 23 hours and 55 minutes every day. Now, I know this will sound utterly warped, but bear in mind, my brother and my sister were here for nearly a week--combined with the Mafia and the Simpsons, it's very clear to me that family is very important, perhaps the most important thing of all. But this is the kind of talk that start wars and vendettas, so I'll stop now.
